Patricia A. Black, age 54, of Carroll, died Friday January 3, 2003 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was a resident at Rockmill Center, was a 1968 graduate of Groveport High School, and was a retired cook from the Wigwam Restaurant in Canal Winchester.
Survived by father Thomas, sisters Peggy, Pam & Nancy Black, all of Lithopolis, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by her mother Gertrude E. Black.
Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Mark Barbee officiating. Interment Lithopolis Cemetery.

1945 - "Tenth Air Force in Burma (Delayed) - promotion to Sergeant for Billie C. Foor, 21, son of Mr. Orville C. Foor, RFD 2, Macy, Ind., has been announced by Major General Howard C. Davidson, commanding general of the 10th air Force in Burma. Sgt. Foor is a tail gunner on a B-24 with the 7th Bombardment Group of the 10th. The sergeant has been in the army for 18 months, five in the India Burma theater. He received his overseas training at March Field, California. A graduate of Macy high school, he attended the University of Florida, Gainesvilla, Fla., and was employed as an aircraft engine tester by the Studebaker Corp., prior to entering the service". Billie "Bill" C. Foor, 79, Rockford, Ill., died at 1:03 p.m. Saturday at his home.
Born March 21, 1924, in Macy to Orville and Nina Carvey Foor, he married Lois J. Rose July 20, 1946, in Marion. She died Oct. 28, 2000. He married Hattie H. Hogue Feece Dec. 8, 2001, in Belton, Texas. She survives.
Mr. Foor moved to Rockford, Ill., in 1951 following graduation from Purdue University. He was employed by Sundstrand on the accessories and equipment technical committee of the Aircraft Association. He was also chief engineer of Belvidere Products, Belvidere, Ill., for several years. A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, he flew on B-24s and B-25s in the CBI Theater North Burma Air Task Force. In 1970, he founded Smith Ecological Systems, Inc., designing and developing floating surface aerators, a sludge removal system for clarifiers and a flow-through cyanide reduction system. He was a charter member of Blackhawk Flying Club, Masonic Lodge, a trustee of Rockford Elks Lodge 64, the American Water Works Association, Rockford Purdue Club, Purdue Alumni Association and the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Bill was a devoted family man. Surviving with his wife, at home, are two sons, Stephen C. and David C. and wife Kim, all of Rockford, Ill.; two daughters, Nancy Berg and husband Mitch and Susan Kelly and husband Pat, all of Rockford, Ill.; one daughter-in-law, Janis Foor, Rockford, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Jeffrey and Stephanie Foor and Benjamin and Samantha Berg and Shannan and Dana Foor; three stepchildren, Lynn Walsh and husband AJ, Texas, Dennis Feece and wife Deborah and Carol Kuzmicz and husband Leonard, all of Indiana; nine stepgrandchildren; and one brother, Nobert and wife Ruth, of Ohio.
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rockford, Ill., with Rev. Dr. David Smazik officiating. Burial will be in Scandinavian Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fred C. Olson Funeral Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford, Ill. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at Visiting Nurses and Swedish American Home Health Care. [The Rochester Sentinel, Rochester, IN]

Clinton MO - Mrs. Rachel G. Stansberry (nee Osburn) departed this life November 22, 1902, at the home of Mr. Murphy, about eight miles northwest of Clinton. born in Fairfield County, Ohio April 8, 1823, being 79. Married to Wm. Henry Stansberry May 12, 1844. thirteen children, six boys and seven girls; all surviving but one. She united with the United Brethren Church at the age of 10 and remained a member until her death. She had 44 grandchildren of whom 36 are living and there are also five great-grandchildren. Her husband is still living, though in feeble health, his home being at Norris. Funeral conducted at the M.E. Church, South at Norris, on Sunday at 11 a.m. November 23 and remains were laid to rest in Carpenter's Cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
