He was employed for 39 years by Williams & Company of Pittsburgh, PA retiring to Sun City in 1985. He was a member of the Willowbrook United Methodist Church and Palmbrook Country of Sun City; a 50 year member of the Avalon Pennsylvania Masonic Lodge #657 AF & AM, and a Shrine and Scottish Rite member. Survivors include his wife Jeanne of 65 years; son Jim Brubaker (Linda); he was preceded by son Rick in 1976; also surviving are his brother Gordon R. Brubaker (Phyllis) and grandchildren Brian Brubaker (Alece) & Matthew Brubaker (Heather). Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Allegheny County Memorial Park Chapel in Allison Park, PA. Memorial donations are suggested to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or Sunshine Services of Sun City. MENKE FUNERAL HOME handled arrangements. [Pittsburgh Post-Gazette]

"WILLIAM CROSLEY, farmer, P. O. Findlay, was born in Fairfield County, Ohio, September 16, 1820, son of George and Maria Crosley, who were residents of this county from 1849 to the time of their death, dying at the age of seventy-four and eighty-one years, respectively. George Crosley was a soldier in the war of 1812, and passed through Fort Findlay long before a town was thought of there. William Crosley married, March 1, 1841, Miss Sarah Runkle, of Fairfield County, Ohio, and they came, in February, 1849, to Eagle Township, this county, where they bought a tract of land partly cleared; this they have improved and built upon until their farm now comprises 115 acres of well improved land. Mrs. Crosley died October 16, 1881, leaving six children: Mrs. Catherine Bish, Mrs. Polly Hoch, Mrs. Lydia Smith, Jacob, Mrs. Betsey Kramer and Joshua. June 4, 1882, William Crosley married, for his second wife, Mrs. Meena Brookman, a native of Magdeburg, Germany, and who came to America in 1871. Her first husband, Frederick Brookman, died May 28, 1878, leaving three children: William, Theodore and Minna L. William Crosley is an industrious and honest citizen, respected by all who know him." They have three grandchildren.

Roy Foor married the former Althea Freebourn on June 12, 1954, at St. Mark Catholic Church.

1918 - Miss Sadie Foor, a highly esteemed resident of Willshire township, died at eleven o'clock this morning at the Van Wert County Hospital, where she underwent a surgical operation one week ago. The deceased, who was a daughter of the late Joseph Foor, had spent her entire life in Willshire township, where she was born, about 56 years ago. She was a member of the United Brethren Church and a lady of fine character. The following brothers and sisters survive her: William Foor of Willshire township, Mrs. J. M. Murphy, of Gordon avenue, H. M. Foor, of Grover Hill, Augustus Foor, of South Carolina, John W. Foor of Mercer county, Mrs. Mary Staley, of Michigan, Frank and Bert Foor of St. Marys, Jesse Foor of Liberty township, Mrs. Ella Dougal of Ridge township, george Foor of Pleasant township, and Mrs. Ollie McCoy of Willshire township. Definite funeral services have not been formed but it is probably that they will be held Tuesday at the Bethel u. B. church, near Ohio City. Mabel E. Foor, Evansport, 77y, died Monday evening, Dec. 27, 1982, in Bryan Community Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Henry County on March 21, 1905, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Coleman) and Oscar Harmon.

She was married to Emory Foor in Monroe, Michigan, on Nov. 18, 1924, and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Foor was a former employee of LaChoy Foods in Archbold.

Surviving are three sons; Wayne of Archbold, Dale of Sundance, Wyoming, and Russell of Alvordton, a daughter, Mrs. Nelson (Arlene) Peterson of Stryker, 18 grandchildren, three brothers, Floyd Harmon of Liberty Center and Lawrence and Junior Harmon, both of Napoleon; and four sisters, Mrs. Carl (Doris) Kruse of Napoleon, Mrs. Evelyn Vajen of Perrysburg, and Mrs. Chalmer (Helen) Vajen and Mrs. Alvin (Hazel) Eickhoff, both of Napoleon.

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday in the Greiser Funeral Home, Stryker, with the Rev. James Steward, pastor of Evansport United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is to follow in the Evansport Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 pm Tuesday.
