"One of my most exciting finds were the estate papers listing the heirs of Lydia Baugher - the unmarried daughter of Jacob C. Baugher (wife was Maria Barbara Kistler), who with his wife and children moved from Lehigh or Hampton Co., PA to Fairfield Co. about 1813 (possibly earlier). When Lydia Baugher died in 1872, her parents and all of her siblings were already dead. She names as her heirs all of the living children and grandchildren of four brothers and one sister." Obituary: EVERETT Carl L. Fink, 81, of North Spring Street, died Saturday at
home.
He was the former owner-operator of Everett Jewelers; a Protestant; a World War
II Army veteran; recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Battle Star; and a
member of VFW Post No. 2088 and American Legion Post No. 8, both of Everett.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Hamm Fink; two sons, Ronald C. of Harrisburg
and Joseph E. of Everett; a daughter, A. Joan Foor of Everett; nine
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Dalla Valle Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery. Everett Honor Guard will
conduct military graveside services.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

State police continued their investigation today into a fire that swept through a garage of the Brode Saw Mill in Huntingdon County, killing an employee who was sleeping in a second-floor room. The victim of the 5 a.m. fire yesterday was Steven Don Foor, 26, of Loysburg, Bedford County.James Behe, Troop G fire marshal, said the fire started in the east end of the two-story frame building in Hopewell Township. Passed away suddenly at her home Saturday, October 18, 1997. Age 82 years.
Alma Zastrow was born August 10, 1915 in Ingersol Township and had been a
lifelong resident of Merrill. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Merrill. She married John C. Searles April 14, 1934. He predeceased her in 1987. Surviving are one daughter, Mary Foor, Merrill; two sons and
daughters-in- law, John J. and Celia Searles, Jerry L. and Kathy Searles, all of Merrill; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Albert and Sandy Foor, James and Christine Foor, Michael and Peggy Foor, Brent and Kimberly Foor, Brian and Jill Foor, John and Marlene Searles, Ann Marie and Todd Kissel, Mark, Greg, Chad and Todd Searles; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, two sisters and their spouses, Arnold and Laura Zastrow, Saginaw; Ralph and Ella Zastrow, Lake, Michigan; Alfred Zastrow, Margaret and William Bell, Betty and Marlin Alexander, all of Clare; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Betty Lou; a brother, Norman Zastrow; a grandson, Jerry Lee Searles and by three great- granddaughters. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday at a time to be announced later at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Merrill. Friends may call at the W.L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, Merrill, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Jonesfield- Lakefield Fire Department Rescue Squad or Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund.
