CUMBERLAND - Chalmer James "Jim" Foor, 72, of 211 Oak St., Cumberland, died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at his home.
Born March 20, 1926, in Bedford, Pa., he was the son of the late William Morrell Foor and the late Mary Magdaline (Kilcoin) Foor. He also was preceded in death by a wife, Clara Madeline Foor; a son, James Foor; and a daughter, Rebecca Grace Foor.
Mr. Foor was a retired employee of the B&O Railroad, where he was a foreman. He was a member of Centenaryl United Methodist Church and the VFW Post 1101 Romney Post. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II.
Surviving are his stepfather, James Beagle, Bedford, Pa.; a wife, Wanda S. (Hardy) Foor, Cumberland; a son, Terry Foor, and wife, Maxine, Romney, W.Va.; four daughters, Debbie Cessna, and husband, Thomas, Romney, Barbara Arbogast, and husband, Randy, Cumberland, Rena Sykes, and husband, Robert, Cumberland, and Marsha Clark, and husband, John, California; a brother, Robert B. Foor, and wife, Bonnie, Baltimore; a sister, Betty Diehl, Bedford; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Edward Dickel and the Rev. Norman Landis officiating.
Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Military honors will be accorded at graveside by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.

LEIPSIC -- Funeral services for Donald W. Hughes, 75, of Leipsic, will be held at 1 p.m Friday at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic, the Rev. George Zornow officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where an Ottawa VFW service will be held at 7 p.m. and a Masonic service at 8 p.m., both today.
Mr. Hughes died at 8:20 a.m. Tuesdsay, May 16, 2000 at Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf.
He was born April 3, 1925 in Lima to Clarence and Rachel (Butler) Hughes. He married Patricia (Sidenstricker) Foor on June 12, 1982, and she survives.
Other survivors include a sister, Betty Sholler, Lima.
Mr. Hughes retired from MacIntosh, Bluffton, after 18 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church and American Legion, both of Leipsic; Ottawa Veterans of Foreign Wars; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rites Valley of Toledo; and Free and Accepted Masons.

REED Frederick R. "Fritz" Reed, age 59, of Powell, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 27, 2007. He was a graduate of Harvard University and The Ohio State University Law School. During his career he practiced law with Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, served as Chief Financial Officer for Wendy's International and most recently worked as a business consultant for Development Specialists, Inc. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 16 years, Jane; sister, Jane Prause; sister-in-law, Janet (Michael) Kedik; uncle, Charles E. (Patricia) Reed; mother-in-law, Carol G. Williams; brothers-in-law, John D. (Dorothy) Williams and Barry J. (Philippa) Williams; nieces and nephews, David (Melissa) Black, Sarah Black, Matthew Reed, Samuel Reed, Margaret (Joel) Strom, Sarah (Kevin) Mueller, John Carl (Sarah) Williams, James B. (Holly) Williams, Colin (Elaine) Williams, Charlotte (Lewis) Muir and Lesley (Wes) Patterson; step-nephew, Calvin Kedik; 7 grand-nieces and nephews; 2 step-grand-nieces and nephews; and many friends. Fritz was preceded in death by his parents Carl R. and Marian Faler Reed, brother David Reed, brother-in-law Robert H. Prause, father-in-law James T. Williams and aunts and uncle Ellen "Susie" Reed, Ruth Reed (Warren) Calvert. Friends may call 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road. Private graveside service and interment at Lithopolis Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 6770 North High St. Worthington with Pastors Glenn Zorb and William Saunders officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Frederick R. Reed Scholarship Fund at the OSU Moritz College of Law, c/o Lisa Ballmann, OSU Moritz College of Law, 55 West 12th Avenue, Columbus OH 43210 or the All Saints Ev. Abstract: Death: 23 JUN 1995, age 80. Clara Hutchinson of Amanda Northern Road, Lancaster, passed away Friday at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus. She is survived by her husband, Wendell; son and daughter-in-law, Clifford (Mabel) Hutchinson of Lancaster; two daughters, Louella Locklear and Billie Locke, both of Columbus; 21 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; three sister, Gladys Hutchinson of Florida,Jennie Bush of Circleville and Cheri Hodgeskin of Columbus; and a brother, Phillip (Hariett) Rhoades of Connecticut. Funeral sevices will be at 2 P.m. Monday at Taylor Funeral Home, Amanda, with the Rev. Connie Hill officiating. Burial will be in Lithopolis Cemetary. Fiends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Catherine M. Foor -- Mrs. Foor, 90, of Valley View Home, formerly of 119 Basin St., Hollidaysburg, died at 7:40 p.m., Friday, Jan. 14, 1994, at the home, following an extended illness.
She was born March 7, 1903, in Hollidaysburg, the daughter of Robert and Rosette (Weaver) White. She married Sherman H. Foor on Oct. 6, 1922, in Cumberland, Md. He died Oct. 21, 1988.
Surviving are three children: Betty L. Shade of Erie, Donald T. of Altoona, and David L. of Hollidaysburg; 28 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother and sister, Robert of Long Beach, Calif., and Eunice Oler of Hollidaysburg.
Mrs. Foor was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.
