"My great Aunt Edna raised my dad, Harry Lee Foor when he was young as his father abandon the family when my Dad was about 6 and my grandmother, Jeffey Lee, was so young and unable to care for my dad. Edna was pretty upset with her brother, Harry, and wrote him out of her will. I have quite a bit of information on Edna. She worked for the phone company from 1916-1946, I have her Telephone Pioneer certificate framed on my wall. She also received an award for saving an attempted suicide on the phone. We have pictures of her as a supervisor wearing rollar skates behind the operators on the switchboard. She lived in Balboa about 1928, with my Dad, for a few years, then moved to Fullerton, CA and opened a liquor store. She flew to Hawaii in 1956 on one of the first flights there." DOM/POM: Dodd, Jordan, Liahona Research, comp. Ohio Marriages, 1803-1900 [database online]. Provo, UT: MyFamily.com, Inc., 2001. Names listed as Caroline Schultz and Augustus Struckman.
In cemetery book, Augustus is mentioned twice. Once on page 46 as just "1834-1865". The brackets around this entry indicate that the data came from a previous cemetery reading -- not the current/last one done in 1982. Beside Augustus in this bracketed information are several other Struckman's. Two infants, one dying in 1891, the other in 1894. A Caroline, 1833-1917, which I will assume at this time to be his wife, and a Dr. Frank (1861-1923) and William A., (1865-1884). Page 46 is for the NEW Betzer Cemetery.
