NOTE: The following comes from a message board posted by Butch Sanders in January 2006: ""Another" original is said to have been "displayed in John Legg's saloon for many years and was said to have been given to him by the Maxwell family". It was said to have then been "passed to Charlie Foor and lost in a house fire". Why would it have been in John Legg's saloon? What if this saloon was Charlie Foor's saloon before it was John Legg's? Or might they have been partners? What appears to be an old 1905 era newspaper piece on Charlie Foor states that he "returned to Ft. Sumner, where he located and engaged in the saloon business from August 1882 until December 1883". So odds are the pic described here was Charlie Foor's before it became known as John Legg's saloon pic. And it was simply reclaimed by Charlie after John Legg was killed on 22 Mar 1899 "by James Blanton in quarrel over a poker game at Fort Sumner". But where did Charlie Foor get the pic? He married Sieberia Beaubien, daughter of Juan Beaubien who spent the last 20 plus years of his life under the same roof as Deluvina Maxwell. What are the odds? My "hunch" is that Juan Beaubien is somehow very closely related to Deluvina Maxwell, possibly her brother, and that Juan's daughter Sieberia, wife of Charlie Foor, was the "family" to whom Deluvina passed the pic - and that it was passed in the early 1880s, not on her death. Just a wild theory that circumstances suggest might be true. The biggest problem with it is that Charlie Foor didn't marry Sieberia Beaubien until 29 Nov 1884, almost a year after he was out of the saloon business according to the newspaper clipping. But then the newspaper might have the dates wrong - or maybe Charlie retained a stake in the saloon? Whatever the case, I believe this is a lot more likely scenario than somebody in the Maxwell family giving the pic to John Legg. It's possible that Pete Maxwell may have, but if he did, he probably took it from Deluvina."
The above was from a discussion on Billy the Kid tintypes (photos). It doesn't appear Butch actually wrote it as he quotes the text. Also quoted was ""When Billy was captured at Stinking Springs on Christmas Eve 1880, he gave his copy to a Navajo servant woman named Deluvina Maxwell. Deluvina worked for Pete Maxwell, whose daughter Paulita was Billy's main querida. Deluvina kept the picture until she died, at which time the image passed into her family's hands, but the tintype was destroyed in a fire in the 1920's."
'Great story, but did it happen? It says, "Deluvina kept the picture until she died...". She died 27 Nov 1927 in Albuquerque. This story also says, that on her death "the image passed into her family's hands". It is generally conceded that Deluvina had no family. To Whom was the image passed? And this story says "the tintype was destroyed in a fire in the 1920's". Not very reassuring as to the source of this story. The source obviously didn't even know when Deluvina died. If they didn't know when she died, how on earth would they know what happened to a picture on or about that date? Who or what was the original source for this story?'
End of messages.

APPROXIMATE AGE: Listed as being of Eastsound, WA, aged 66 in 2003, "Jacqueline M. George".
The following was found in Skagit County, WA documents online:
Anthony B. George, grantor, "conveys and quitclaims" to Jacqueline May George, whose name may also appear of record as Jacqueline Foor or Jacqueline May Mendorff, 1987.
The second one shows the grantor as Robert J. Bateman for property worth 85 thousand, and conveys and warrants unto Ronald L. Foor and Jacqueline M. Foor, "now known as Jacqueline M. George, formerly husband and wife" , Feb. 1988
The third is a deed of trust between Thomas R. and Joan M. Walsh, husband and wife, who live in Anacortes, WA, and Ronald L. Foor and Jacqueline M. George, fka Jacqueline M. Mendorf, fka Jacqueline M. Foor, whose address is in Anacortes, WA. (fka is "formerly known as"). - May 1988
In a Dec 1988 document "Island Title Company" of Anacortes, WA it mentions "Ronald Foor, a single man and Marilyn Skrinde" is grantor in a deed dated Oct. 2, 1981
"The undersigned as trustee under that certain Deed of Trust, dated Nov. 1, 1979, in which Ronald L. Foor and Jacqueline M. Foor, husband and wife, is grantor and Island Savings and Loan Association, is benefitiary..." is in a documented dated April 1993
It appears that Ronald L. Foor was married at one time to a Jacqueline, who was possibly married PREVIOUS and it appears by the documents to be married AFTER the marriage to Ronald L. Foor, perhaps after he was deceased. My guess is that her subsequent husband was a man with the last name GEORGE, and that her maiden name or prior married name was Mendorff.
An Anthony B. George and Jacqueline M. George are listed in a 2002 document as husband and wife, and borrower's at Keybank National Association, and the George's address appears to be in Eastsound, WA. At ussearch.com there's a Jacqueline M. George of Eastsound, WA, age 66 (in 2003).
This last document of 2002 states it was recorded in wrong county. Eastsound is in San Juan Co., WA.
