Stockdale Yvonne DeLee Stockdale, age 93, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015. She was born in Columbus, OH to the late John and Francis (Busey) Alspach. Yvonne retired with over 25 years of service as an executive secretary for Charles E. Merrill Publishing Company. She was a 15 year member of Church of the Redeemer United Methodist and a 50+ year member of Broad Street Christian Church. Yvonne's lifelong passion of the arts lead her to play the violin as a young woman with the Columbus Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO), and she was the concertmistress for the CPO. She passed on her love of the arts to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Lloyd M. Williams, husband James F. Stockdale, grandson Donald Roeder, Jr., son-in-law Charles Cornell, and six sisters. Yvonne is survived by her daughters, Joan Cornell and Leslie (Gary) Gardner; grandchildren, Ann "Chris" (Daniel) Redman, Julie Gossett, R. Scott (Heather) Gossett, and David Mitchell Gossett; great-grandchildren, Allison (Gregory) Dunkle, Lauren and Abigail Roeder and their mother, Denise Roeder, Daniel Gossett, Mackenzie Gossett, and Katrina Gossett; great great-granddaughters, Kylie and Madelyn Dunkle. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Church of the Redeemer United Methodist, 235 McNaughten Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43213, where family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment to follow at Betzer Cemetery in Carroll, OH. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL.

When a child she was brought to this county by her parents who settled near Warsaw, where she grew to womanhood, and received her education in the common schools. Her father, Aaron Bohlenbaugh, was born in Ohio, October 8, 1820, and is living in Harrison township, this county. The mother, Catherine (Walters) Bohlenbaugh, was born in Ohio, March 8, 1822, and is still living. Mrs. Vancuren has been twice married. Her first marriage was with Benjamin Gillespie, who was born in Ohio June 10, 1846. They had three children -- Charles A., born May 6, 1867; Evalena, born January 22, 1870, and Lotta, born Sept. 15, 1873. She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of Fred H. and Lyle I. (Smith) Foor Sr.
She is survived by two sons: Donald K. Jr. in Oregon and Mark A. and wife, Kristie, in Utah; a daughter, Jeannine M. Prendergast and husband, Brian, of Hollidaysburg; two brothers: Fred H. Foor Jr. and wife, Dollie Jean, of Hollidaysburg and David Foor Sr. and wife, Alice, of Lakemont; a sister, Mary Jeanne Stoltz of Hollidaysburg; six grandchildren: Jenifer Christian and husband, Cody, Mark Reid Jr., Ryan Prendergast, Kyle Prendergast, Alyssa Prendergast and Nicole Reid; and one great-grandson, Landon Christian.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mick; and a brother-in-law, Richard Stoltz.
She was a 1954 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.
Connie was a confidential secretary to the assistant superintendent of schools at Hollidaysburg School District, retiring in 1998, after 29 years of service.
She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg; a life member of St. Mary's choir; a member of Hollidaysburg Alumni Association, AARP, Blair County Association of School Retirees and Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees.
Connie enjoyed reading, watching her grandchildren and especially going to the beach with them.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, (www.pssfh.com) where a vigil for the deceased will be held Tuesday. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, by Father Anthony Legarski. Committal will be at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.

Carl A. Sell, 85, of Rockford died at 5 p.m. May 1, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 11, 1917, in Dublin Township, to Samuel O. and Zelma Boice Sell. On May 3, 1942, he married Martha A. Akom who died March 24, 1950. On June 6, 1951, he married Pauline L. Book who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Larry (Theresa) of Bluffton, Ind., Dr. Jerry (Connie) of Rockford, Roger of Willshire, and Kenneth (Soon-ni) of Orange Park, Fla.; two brothers, Lowell (Martha) of Wapakoneta and Paul (Betty) of Bluffton, Ind.; a sister, Ruth Smith, Georgia; nine grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
A brother, Robert, and a sister, Wanna, are deceased.
He worked as a shop foreman, mechanic and salesman for the Ford Motor Co. Tractor & Implement Division; owned and operated a farm equipment dealership; and managed Ridgeway Motel in Van Wert and Western 6 Motel in Tempe, Ariz. He also worked six years as a desk clerk and as an accounting clerk for Fred Harvey at Grand Canyon, Ariz. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
A Rockford High School graduate, he obtained additional training at the Ford Motor Co. School and Universal Motel Schools, Miami Beach, Fla. He was a member of Otterbein United Brethren Church (now New Horizons Community Church), Rockford, and the Auglaize County Sheriff's Auxiliary. He also was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, Celina, and a former member of Ohio Flying Farmers.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Robert Loar officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Contributions can be made to Camp Cotubic in Bellefontaine or WTLW-TV (Channel 44) in Lima.

Laura A. Foor, 91, Pennknoll Village, Everett, formerly of Six Mile Run, died at 3:55 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Pennknoll Village, following an extended illness.
Born October 16, 1910, in Wood, she was the daughter of the late Rees and Minnie (Swope) Watkins. She was united in marriage to Paul L. Foor October 23, 1936. He preceded her in death January 23, 1999.
She is survived by 11 children: Lloyd Noel and Dennis Foor, both of Cedartown, Ga.; Neil Foor, Three Springs; Vaughn Foor, Oak Harbor, Wash.; Mrs. Ray (Shelvy) Corbin, Cassville; Mrs. William (Margaret) Hitchens, Dillsburg; Mrs. Ron (Carol) Whitley, Rocky Mount, N.C.; Mrs. Donald (Gail) Foster, Mary Jane Corle, both of Everett; Mrs. Willis (Fay) Wible, Wells Tannery, and John Foor, Needmore; 26 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
A son, Lorn Foor, preceded her in death.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by 17 brothers and sisters.
She was a member of the Beavertown Bible Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for 37 years and a member of Senior Life.
During her lifetime, she was primarily a homemaker.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at the D. Ronald Long Funeral Chapel, Saxton. Pastor James S. Thomas officiated. Burial was made in Rays Cove Christian Cemetery, Everett.
