NOTE: Although the 1850 census it appears to say "Soft", I'm assuming that someone's Irish accent may have been misinterpreted by the census taker. It dawned on me when I saw this unknown family in 1850 that there were similarities to the Scott surname. James Scott later shows that both parents were b in Ireland, and himself in PA. The James Scott's 1840 census tends to agree with the 1850 census, too.

OBIT found on funeral home website. Unsure where the hyphenated name comes in at as his parents are not mentioned in the obituary. Perhaps his wife's maiden name was Magee, and once married, they both took the name "Stewart-Magee". No last names mentioned for siblings, either, or other related survivors such as sister and brother-inlaws.
