"John Henry Cooper has been for more than fifteen years established in the successful practice of his profession in Columbus, and is recognized as one of the able and representatvie attorneys of Franklin County. He was born at Lockville, Fairfield County, Ohio, April 7, 1881, the son of William and Sarah (Benadum) Cooper." (info about his father) "John Henry Cooper was educated in the public schools of Fairfield county and was a member of the 1901 class of Canal Winchester High School. From 1899 until 1903 he was a teacher in the district schools, and in the latter year entered Ohio State University. During 1904-5 he attended Valparaiso University, and again taught school during 1905-6 in Fairfield county. The next three years were spent as principal of the Carroll, Ohio, public schools, and from 1909 until 1911 Mr. Cooper was principal of the Groveport, Ohio, schools. In the meantime he read law and in 1911 was admitted to the Ohio bar. He immediately established offices at Groveport, where he remained for a period of four years. Mr. Cooper has been located in Columbus since 1915 and has been in his present location at 33 North High Street since octobre 1927. In 1909 Mr. Cooper was united in marriage with Miss Nina Wolshire, the daughter of Joseph and Carlista (Fenstermaker) Wolshire, natives of Ohio, both now deceased. Mr. and Mrs. Cooper have no children.

Mr. Cooper is a staunch Republican and from 1920 unt 1926 served as assistant prosecuting attorney of Franklin County. He is widely known as a student of the life and times of Abraham Lincoln and has numerous valuable books and documents in his library, which concern the intimate life of the martyred president. Mr. Cooper is a member of the Lutheran Church, and belongs to Gordion Lodge No. 240, Free & Accepted Masons, Walnut Chapter, R. A. M., Groveport, Loyal Order of Moose, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and Eagles Lodge. He is identified with the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. During 1927-8 Mr. Cooper served as president of the Buckeye Republican Club. He is recognized as an orator of considerable note and has always manifested a keen interest in local and state politics, frequently being called upon as a speaker for his party. [30937] Darius D. Denny, age 83, of Groveport, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015. Born in 1931 at Hot Coal, W.Va. to the late James and Elsie Denny. Darius (his friends called him Denny) lived in Sophia, W.Va. for 18 years. While going to High School, he worked as a projectionist in the theater for three year before joining the Air Force from 1950 thru 1954. He was a Korean War Veteran. After the military he worked at North American for 16 years, went to Bliss College where he graduated with a Business Administration Degree in 1962 and worked at Jeffrey Mining and Mfg. for 26 years before retiring on December 1, 1995. Darius was married to two great wives, Bobbie J. Fox Denny for 38 years (she died in 1992) and Delores M. Barr Denny for 10 years (she died in 2010). Also preceding him in death was a stepson Billy G. Fox. Surviving are four stepchildren, David L. (Kathy) Fox, Lynda (Joe) Sayre, Daniel (Sen) Barr and Sandra (Frank) Davis; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; and his sister-in-law and dear friend, Wilma Brehm. Visitation will be from 12Noon until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main Street in Groveport. Reverend Patricia Moats officiating. Entombment Lithopolis Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Shady Lane Presbyterian Church, 4117 E. Passed away suddenly Monday, January 5, 1998 at his home. Age 76 years.
Warren Frederick Enszer was born October 22, 1921 the son of the late Earl
and Mabel Enszer. He married Alberta May Griffin in 1948. She predeceased
him in 1954. Warren served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II, serving in the
Pacific Theatre. He had worked as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years, retiring in 1981 and was a Gold Card member of National Letter Carriers Association. He worked for Avis Rental Car until his death. He was an active member in his church, serving as a High Priest of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving are a son, Warren Enszer Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, Chilton, Wisconsin; a daughter, Mary Tabor, Pevely, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; four sisters, Lila Lehnhardt, Saginaw; Eileen Feigley, Hemlock; Marjorie Enszer, Saginaw; Earldine Foor and her husband, Neil, Midland; a brother, Willard Enszer and his wife, Helen, Saginaw; brothers-in-law, Fred W. Pond, Saginaw; Delbert Griffin and his wife, Twila, Hemlock; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Eunice Pond and Emma Jean Kluck. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1415 N. Center Rd. Bishop Mark Wells will officiate. Friends may call at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 409 Adams Street, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday.

She is survived by her children: Gina Yetter, Naples, Fla.; Leigha McConaughey, Fort Loudon; and Cody Mc- Conaughey and Matthew McConaughey, both of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; one stepson, Craig Houpt, Hagerstown; and 10 grandchildren: Mc- Kenzie, Jadon and Lydia Yetter, Calob, Audrey, Tommy, Brendan and Cameron Mc- Conaughey and Tommy and Sophie Houpt; and her siblings: Deborah Wright, Harrisonville; David Foor, Shirleysburg; and Mark Foor, Cassville.


She was of the Protestant faith.

During her life she was primarily a homemaker.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 7, at Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Rev. Lowell Bard officiated. Interment was made in Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirleysburg.

Services will be held at the Ditmire funeral home in Fulton at 1 p.m. Friday for Mrs. Helen D. ENGLISH, 85, of Macy, who died at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn hospital after an illness of three months.
Born near Macy Dec. 1, 1874, she was the daughter of Lyman E. and Rebecca CALLOWAY HATCH. She had lived in the Macy community most of her life.
She was married June 26, 1913, to Willis M. ENGLISH, who died in 1952. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Surviving are a brother, Harry G. HATCH, Macy; and several nieces and nephews. One son, Garland Foore ENGLISH, preceded her in death.
The Rev. Scott WEBSTER will officiate the final services. Burial will be in the cemetery at Danville, Ind.
Friends may call at the funeral home. The family requests that flowers be omitted.

George Glick in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty four between Paul Samsal and Benjamin Cromer overseers of the poor of the township Bloom in the County of Fairfield and State of Ohio with the consent and approbation of Jesse D. Courtright one of the justices of the peace in
and for the township aforesaid of the one part and George Glick of the township Amanda of County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said overseers have and by these presents do with the Consent and approbation of the said justice of the peace place and bind out Ezra Clark Lane a poor boy aged two years and nine months (orphan son of Dutton Lane of said township deced) as an apprentice to the said George Glick to be taught the art trade mistery and occupation of farming or husbandry which the said Glick now [illegible] and to live with and serve him as an apprintice for the term of Eighteen years and three months from the date of these presents if the said Ezra Clark Lane and his service during said term which by the laws
of this state a master hath to and over a lawfully instructed apprentice And the said George Glick on his part in consideration hereof doth promise covanant and agree to and with the said overseers of the poor and Each of them their and each of their succesors for the time being and with the said poor boy each by himself respectfully to teach and instruct the said Ezra Clark Lane as his apprintice or otherwise caus to be paid [crossed out] him
to be well and sufficiently instruct and taught in the art mistery trade and occupation of farming in its various branches and also in the art trade
and mystery of weaving if the wishes of the said E.C. Lane should so incline after the best way and manner that he can and to teach and instruct him the said apprintice or cause him to be instructed to read and write the English language and so much arithmatick as will include the single rule of three and also to train him to habits of obedience industry and morality and provide for and allow to him meat drink washing lodging and apparrel for summer and winter and all other necessaries proper for such an apprintice during
the time of his service as aforesaid and at the expiration thereof shall give to the said apprintice a new bible and two new suits of wearing apparrel one of which shall be suitable for Sundays and the other for work days. Fern M. Foor, 80, of Everett, died Friday, October 19, 2007, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 10, 1926, in East Providence Township, a daughter of the late Dewey Layton and Vivian (Rice) Layton Whetstone, and stepfather William Whetstone.

On May 21, 1945, in Elkton, Md., she married the late Robert G. Foor. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers Ralph Layton, and John R. "Pete" Layton, and a daughter-in-law, Kelly (Smith) Barton.

She is survived by two children: Jerry R. Foor, and wife Susan (Barton) Foor, Tanya J. Boor and husband Allen W. Boor; two grandsons: Robert F. Barton and Cody L. Cornell; a granddaughter, Etta M. Foor; two great-granddaughters: Emily P. Barton and Courtney G. Barton; two sisters: Joann Swartzwelder and Patricia Weimer, and husband Donald R. Weimer of Everett; and a close friend, Hilda Weaverling of Everett.

She was employed as a milk truck driver with her father and was employed by Greencastle Sock Co. and Lion Manufacturing in Everett. She was a homemaker who enjoyed attending flea markets, auctions and thrift stores, and will be greatly missed.

Private services will be held by the family. Dalla Valle Funeral Serv was in charge of arrangements.

Frank D. MUSSELMAN, 73, life resident of the Macy community, died at his home three and one-half miles northeast of Macy at 2 a.m. today. He had been in failing health the last four years and suffered a heart attack two weeks ago which contributed to his death.
Mr. Musselman was a registered pharmacist and in his early life operated a drug store in Macy. Most of his life he was a farmer. He was a member of the Macy Christian church.
Born Nov. 6, 1874, to William and Priscilla (FOOR) MUSSELMAN, Frank Musselman married Maud ZARTMAN in Macy in 1901. He lived all his life in the same home.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lepha SMITH of Indianapolis, Mrs. Opal SAVAGE of Macy and Mrs. Lova POWELL of Rochester; two sons, Dr. Glenn MUSSEMAN of Terre Haute and Donald MUSSELMAN of Rochester; two brothers, S. H. MUSSELMAN of Macy and Harvey MUSSEMAN of Hartford City, and fourteen grandchidren.
Services will be conducted in the Macy Christian church at 2 p.m. Tuesday and burial will be in Plainview cemetery in Macy. The body will be taken from the Zimmermn Brothers funeral home to the residence Sunday morning.
