On February 26th, 1899 she was united in marriage to John F. Foor and to this union were born two children one daughter, Elva and one son Francis who survives her, the daughter having preceeded (sic) her in death 11 years ago.

Mrs. Foor united with the Lithopolis M. E. Church December 6th 1896 and while she was not able to attend regularly she loved the house of God and often expressed her faith in the Great Redeemer and His Power to save.
As we lay her body in the silent tomb, we commit her spirit to our heavenly father who doeth all things well.

NOT DEAD; NOT LOST; NOT FAR
Not Dead!
No! No! not dead, just laid away from sight.
To slumber undisturbed through one long night,
Instead of many brief ones such as fall.
In swift recurrence o'er us one and all.
If thou art glad to lay thy weary head
Upon the pillow of thy nightly bed,
And lose thyself in slumber where fore weep.
When loved ones rest in nature's dreamless sleep?
Since now we wake when night has passed away
In the old likeness of the former days
May we not hope to see them face to face
Who in the churchyard have their resting place?
Believe the Master, o'er and o'er he said-
"Why weepest thou? Only asleep-
Not dead-not dead!"

The funeral services were held in Lithopolis Presbyterian Church, Rev. P. A. Bright, preaching the sermon. Burial was made in the Lithopolis cemetery.
We desire to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our relatives, friends and neighbors for the many kind acts and services rendered during the recent illness and at the time of the passing of our beloved wife and mother.
John F. Foor and Son, Francis.

"CUSTER, GEORGE, of Bloom township, emigrated from Washington
county, Pennsylvania, in 1830. He was born August 16, 1810, and was
married to Miss Sarah Courtright, January 13, 1831. At this wedding
eighteen were present, all of whom are dead, save Mr. Custer. After
the nuptials, the new couple settled on the farm, at first owned by
Loveland ; afterward by Morehart, then by his father-in-law. After the death
of his wife, he married the second time to Miss Elizabeth Jane Leech.
She was born May 6, 1825, in Virginia, and is the daughter of John
Leech, who emigrated with his family first to Madison township and
then to Bloom township, where he died. Mr. Custer was a charter
member of the Lithopolis Lodge in 1848, and has been officially connected
with that body more or less since that time. In 1832, with sixteen
others, joined the Presbyterian society, and afterwards assisted in
establishing the church and society in Lithopolis, where he has been an
official member fifty years. He is the only one of that number now
living, and the only man living in the township who voted in the year
1831, and is the last man living of the original eight who came here
in 1831, and who drove hogs to old Baltimore. He has nine children
and twenty-six grand children. His children are all members of
church, save one, and all married, save the youngest. He built his
residence in 1856." HISTORY OF FAIRFIELD AND PERRY COUNTIES, OHIO, THEIR PAST AND PRESENT, Compiled BY A. A. Graham, W. H. BEERS & CO. 1883, p 292.
