OBIT: Dorothy A. Foor, 73, of Bonita Springs, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2000 at a local hospital. Born in Columbus, Ohio she came to the area in 1985 from Lexington, Ohio. Mrs. Foor was a member of Community Congregational United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Bonita Moose No. 1611, where she was past Senior Regent. She also belonged to the Bonita Elks No. 2753, the Bonita American Legion No. 303, and the Lexington, Ohio VFW No. 1501. Mrs. Foor is survived by her loving husband, Glen E. Foor Jr. of Bonita Springs; two sons, Frank (Cheryl) Foor of North Liberty, Ohio and Clinton Foor of Mansfield, Ohio; a daughter, Carrie (James) Francis of Lorain, Ohio; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. One sister, Kate Toor preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held on December 29, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bonita Moose Lodge. parents, Andrew and Catherine, did not settle here until some time after the
sons, and both died in the township. Andrew, Jr., died near Wharton; Daniel
removed to Missouri and there died; Henry died on his farm in Wyandot County;
Peter died in this township; John resides in Indiana, and the two daughters,

LANCASTER: Robert L. "Bob" Lewis, age 64, of Lancaster, formerly of Canal Winchester, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Fairfield Medical Center.
Born January 30, 1945 in Aliquippa, PA. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran, and was a retired Bus Driver for Greyhound Bus Lines. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survived by loving wife of 38 years, Barbara; sons, Dana (Kathi) Bibb and Eric (Kathey) Bibb both of Columbus; daughters, Marsha Collins and Jackie (Jim) Howard both of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Danielle and Dustin Bibb, Makenna Logan, Austin and Maiah Howard; mother, Helen Oberkonz, Columbus; brother, Bill (Edna) Lewis, Marengo; nieces, nephews and many dear friends including his hunting and fishing buddies.
Friends may visit Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester where funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday. OBIT: John E. Metz - John E. Metz, one of East Providence township's best known and highly esteemed citizens, died at his home, near Graceville, on Thursday evening of last week from pneumonia, aged about 60 years. Deceased was united in marriage to a Miss Foor, who proceeded him in to the spirit world about three years ago. He is survived by two sons, George Metz, who resided with his father, and Charles Metz, of Altonna, PA., one daughter, who is married and resides in Altoona, and one brother, Samuel Metz, of Graceville, also survive to mourn the death of a loving father and brother. Mr. Metz was an honest up-wright christian gentleman and had a host of friends who deeply mourn his death. Funeral services were held at the Graceville Lutheran Church last Sunday at 10 a.m., the Rev. G. H. Middlesworth, of the Breezewood charge, officiating. [Bedford Gazette, Bedford, PA, Aug. 10, 1917]

According to the online death certificate index at Ohio Historical Society, there are two William H. Smith's who died 1920 in Fairfield Co. One died Aug. 17th (V 3996, Cert. 61547) and the other Feb. 20 (V 3193, Cert. 10926).

There's a half-brother listed in 1880 census for Lafayette Daugherty, so Wilson was not Ellen's maiden name, but rather, a prior married name. The informant for the death certificate of William Wilson was Lafayette, and he stated that William was born March 26, 1845 in OH, a carpenter, born in OH to unknown father of unknown birth and Ellen Spurgeon b OH. William Wilson died Aug. 24, 1913 at 68y 4m 28d and was buried in Groveport.
