Hoy - Died of typhoid fever, near Napoleon, Ohio, Oct. 5 1875, Peter Hoy, (brother of Rev. S. Hoy) aged 34 years, 1 month and 1 day.
He was converted to God quite a number of years ago, and at the time of his death was a member of the Calvary Church. Beaver Creek circuit, Ohio conference. The deceased leaves a wife and six children, also a father, four brothers, one sister, and many friends to mourn his departure. They entertain a hope that he is now in heaven. Funeral services conducted by the writer.

OBIT: Sabina - Services for John Phelps, 89, retired superintendent of the water and electric plants here when they were owned by the village, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Littleton Funeral Home.... Mr. Phelps, who died Saturday morning in the Eden Manor Nursing Home, was a member of the Masonic Lodge Commandery and Eastern Star of St. Paris, the Scottish Rite at Cincinnati and Aladdin Shrine at Columbus. He was a 50-year member of both the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star and a charter member of the Sabina Lions Club. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. His wife, Fannie Courtwright, died in 1969. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Fitzwater, of Sidney, and MRs. OBIT: John C. Phelps, 89, long time resident of Sabina, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the Eden Manor Nursing home where he had been a patient nearly a year. Mr. Phelps was superintendent of the water and light plants here when they were owned by the village. His wife, Fannie Courtwright Phelps, died in May 1969. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Fitzwater of Sideny, and Mrs. Frances Newcomer of Florham Park, NJ; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fitzwater's husband, Paul Fitzwater, was the director of the high school band in Washington C. H. about 25 years ago.
