[T57071] From Marilyn Sayler via June 2006 email: "John Kellott Somes was born in Lorain , Ohio on April 8, 1856 and died on October 15, 1956. Yes, he lived to be 100 years and 6 months. He was only sick for the last two months of his life. I was 7 years old when he died; but, I can remember him telling me about seeing Abraham Lincoln's funeral train.

He was married to Ella Amanda Foor in Jackson , Michigan on March 14, 1888. Ella was born on February 4, 1866 and died on December 1, 1918. They are both buried in Zion Cemetery in Ogden , Michigan .

One thing of interest is that John and Ella's daughters married brothers. Rena Nellie Somes (my grandmother) married Fred Sayler and Mae Agnes Somes married Edward Sayler. It is amazing how my father resembles his cousins."
