"One of my most exciting finds were the estate papers listing the heirs of Lydia Baugher - the unmarried daughter of Jacob C. Baugher (wife was Maria Barbara Kistler), who with his wife and children moved from Lehigh or Hampton Co., PA to Fairfield Co. about 1813 (possibly earlier). When Lydia Baugher died in 1872, her parents and all of her siblings were already dead. She names as her heirs all of the living children and grandchildren of four brothers and one sister." OBIT: Lloyd Brinton Foor, 71, of HCR 61, Mill Creek, died at 12:15 a.m. today, Wednesday, July 29, 1992 in the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born April 12, 1921 at Six Mile Run, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Della M. (Tehman) Foor. He was twice married, the second time to Alberta R. Teeters on Nov. 27, 1971. Surviving are his wife, at their home; six sons; John Foor and Theodore Foor, in Ohio; Michael Foor, Gary Foor and Todd Foor; and James Foor, in Florida; six stepchildren: Caroline Woods, Richmond, Va.; Wilbur W. Keller, in Ohio; Eugene Keller and Samuel Keller, Petersburg; Edward keller, Huntingdon; and Isabell Semple, Mapleton; 12 grandchildren; and 24 stepgrandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Julia Meshyock of Center Union, and two brothers, Edward Foor of Six Mile Run and George Foor, Shirlesburg. Preceding him in death were a daughter, two stepdaughters, four stepgrandchildren, three brothers and three sisters. Mr. Foor was a member of Standing Stone Post 1754, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Huntingdon. He retired in 1983 as a boiler fireman at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 31, at the Robert I. Grove Funeral Home, Alexandria, with the Rev. John C. Dean officiating. Interment will be in Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of the services. She graduated from Shelbyville High School. Rosemary was a long time member of First Christian Church of Shelbyville where she was very active, and was a church organist for many years. She was former member and organist at Robinson Creek Methodist Church near Shelbyville. She was a true partner in the family dairy farm and worked side by side with husband Carl. Rosemary loved to travel to new destinations all over the world and did so whenever possible. For many years, she spent winters in Florida where she had a large circle of friends with whom she remained very close. She was the heart and soul of her family and the fabric in the lives of all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was so very loved, will be so very missed. Opal E. SAVAGE, 86, formerly of Macy, died at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday at the ExtendaCare Center, Rochester.
Born in Macy to Frank and Maude ZARTMAN MUSSELMAN, she married Kenneth M. SAVAGE on June 19, 1928; he died May 4, 1994. A homemaker, she had lived most of her life in the Macy area. She was a member of Macy Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star 124, Macy and Home Economics Club, Macy.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Ann) KAIN, Lexington, S.C., two sons, William A. SAVAGE, Toledo, Ohio, Steve SAVAGE, Macy, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren [including Mrs. Jodi NEWTON, Mrs. Lisa McMILLEN and Susie and Klise SAVAGE, all from Rocheter, and seven great-gradchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs Ronnie (Lova) POWELL, Rochester]. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a daughter Lois McCLURE, a son Frank [SAVAGE], a granddaughter, Kennie KAIN THORRINGTON and a great-gradson, Blaine McMILLEN.
Services are at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester. Burial is in Plainview Cemetery, Macy. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, and one hour prior to services on Sunday at the funeral home. O.E.S. 124 will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

WINTERS Lance A. Winters, 39, of Canal Winchester, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2006, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, as the result of injuries sustained from a dirt bike accident. He was born January 23, 1967 in Wilmington, Ohio, the son of Robert and Jacqueline (Culp) Winters. An avid outdoorsman, Lance enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt bike riding and was a NASCAR enthusiast and fan of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He was preceded in death by his father in March 2006. He is survived by his wife, Christine (Holliday) Winters, whom he married on February 26, 2000; his mother, Jacqueline Winters of Grove City; brothers, Robert (Lisa) Winters of Maine, Marvin (Kay) Webb of Columbus, Michael Winters of Maine and Craig Webb of Wellston; sisters, Penny Winters of Maine, Brenda (Eric) Schmidt of Carroll and Angela Thompson of Columbus; in-laws, Karen and Garner Workman of Lancaster and William and Debbie Holliday of Grove City; brothers-in-law, Bill (Natalie) Holliday, Bryan Holliday and Marvin (Theresa) Workman; sisters-in-law, Cassie (Shane) Carter, Regina (Craig) Kirkwood and Robin (Daren) Baughman; several nieces and nephews; many, many friends; and his faithful canine companion, Gunner.
