"Paul J. Alspaugh, M.D. In his particular field of practice, tending toward special treatment of brain and nerve diseases, Dr. Paul J. Alspaugh, of New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, has gained will-merited distinction and reputation. His experience in this line has occupied positions which have given him specialized first-hand knowledge of these disorders, and considerable research, investigation and experiments have furthered his equipment for his speciality.
Doctor Alspaugh was born on a farm in Fairfield County, Ohio, December 23, 1878, and is a son of H. Edward and Sarah S. (Courtright) Alspaugh, who were born and reared in the same community and belonged to old and highly respected families of Fairfield County. The father was a son of Paul and Lavina (Weiser) Alspaugh, and they, too, were born and reared in Fairfield County. In the early days three Alspaugh brothers came from Somerset Co., PA., and in 1805 settled in Fairfield County, one of these being the great-grandfather of Doctor Alspaugh. They were of German lineage as were the Weiser family. Sarah S. (Courtright) Alspaugh was a daughter of John Courtright, commonly known as 'Elder' John Courtright, as he was an elder in the Presbyterian Church and a prominent churchman. He was born in Fairfield County, and his father, Jesse Coutright, was a pioneer settler of that county, where he bought much land from the Indians. It has been handed down as a family tradition that the largest sum ever paid an Indian was a quarter of a dollar. Jesse Courtright built a brick house and barn at a very early date in the history of the county, and both became pioneer landmarks, the house still standing. The barn attracted more attention than the house, as it was a very rare thing to build a barn of brick, and it was known far and nears as 'the brick barn' in Fairfield County. The Courtrights are descendants of a Pilgrim progenitor in America, who came over amoung the colonists on the Mayflower. Galbreath, C. B.. History of Ohio. Chicago: American Historical Society, 1925, pp 413-414.

The Ault Advertiser, Ault, Weld Co, Colorado; Friday, July 5, 1915, p1, c5
H. W. BARNHART SUCCUMBS AFTER LONG ILLNESS - Following many months of illness with cronic heart trouble
H. W. Barnhart passed away at his home in Ault on Sunday night. The funeral was held in the Christian church on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. C.A. Stevenson delivering the sermon and the local lodge of Odd Fellows, of which Mr. Barnhart was a member, having charge of the service at the Eaton Cemetery, where interment took place.
Mr. Barnhart was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, January 10, 1856. The first ten years of his boyhood was spent at the home of his birthplace. The family then moved to Windsor, Illinois, where in 1875 he was married to Miss Louisa Tressler, a union to which eleven children were born, five who survive their father. In 1904 Mr. Barnhart and his family moved to Arkansas and made their home there for seven years, coming to Colorado in 1911, their home ever since that time having been in Ault.
For a number of years Mr. Barnhart was engaged in the transfer business, varying his activites by serving in minor official capacity for the town. About two years ago he was compelled to lay aside his physical labors on account of his failing health, and for several months prior to his death was confined to his home, and on Sunday night he laid aside all earthly interests, conscious of having lived a life worthy of commendation by his fellow men. He united with the Christian church at Windsor, Illinois, in 1877 and forty-one years of his life was devoted to active Christian service.
Besides his widow he is survived by five children, Mrs. Elmer Andrews and Vance and Herman Barnhart, of Ault, all of whom were at his bedside when the end came, Mrs. W. A. Rankin and Valentine Barnhart of Windsor, Illinois.

DOB/DOD: SSDI. Last known address was Cupertino, Santa Clara, CA.
BIRTH: "The Cupertino Courier", Jan 8, 1997, Cupertino, California. "Foor's
life took many twists and turns before leading him to Cupertino... born on Dec 20, 1896 on a Fairfield Co OH farm, he was the youngest of four brothers. A sister came along 5 years later, whom Foor watched over after his father died, while his mother ran the 2.5 acre farm." His oldest brother Arlie, left to study law. Forest left at 18 when a friend talked him into joining the Navy as WWI began. He fibbed about his age and was the youngest enlistee at the Great Lakes Naval Station, then at Hampton Rhodes. After the war, he returned to the farm briefly until a cousin suggested he move to Montana to take the Montana's Teacher exam. "Once I went west, I never went back to the farm". He taught 8th grade and later high school, and organized a band to play at local events.
He saved enough money and attended Montana State U in Missoula to further his
studies in education. He also married but later divorced. He earned a
master's and moved to Helena, Montana to teach high school. He took up golf, a passion he enjoyed until age 89. He also moved to Fresno where he taught at the state university and Bakersfield High School. Foor and his wife moved to Cupertino after retirement to be near Barbara. Dorothy died in 1992, a few years later. His son gave him a celebration on his 95th birthday.
"FEW "old-timers" can say they once met famed flier Charles Lindbergh. Dr. Forrest Foor, a resident of the Terraces, who celebrated his 100th birthday Dec. 20, was playing golf on a deserted course in Helena, Mont., while nearly everyone in town was at a state fair to see Lindbergh. Foor watched as "Lindy" landed his plane on the golf course instead of at the fairgrounds. He chatted with the aviator before a limousine took him away. A retired teacher, Foor played golf until he was 89.", Los Gatos Weekly-Times, January 1st, 1997.
