NOTE: According to the bio, the Dobson family came to Montgomery Co., IN
around 1853. Sometime around then it appears that John Dobson and his wife,
Margaret nee Coffman, apparently got a divorce. Although the bio states he
then went to IA in 1854, it was probably after Feb. 1855 which is when he
married Emily Good in Montgomery Co., IN. Margaret (Coffman) Tomlinson
Dobson remains in Montgomery Co., IN near her Tomlinson children and although
she appears as a DOBSON in censuses, her tombstone apparently lists her name
as TOMLINSON.

From the Gladwin County Record, front page same issue.
Investigation is continuing into the death of a 15year-old Gladwin youth who was struck by a car on S. M-18 Saturday night after running into the road.
Patrick Haines a Gladwin High School sophomore, was attending a wedding reception at the K of C Hall, 751 S. M-18 about 11:45 P.M. Saturday when he ran into the road, said Gladwin Sheriff's officers. The youth was struck by a car driven by Gary D. Hawks, Jr., 16 of Beaverton.
Deputies said Hawks, who was heading south, was unable to avoid hitting Haines. The victim was taken to the Gladwin Area Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:45 A.M. Sunday.
Hawks and a passenger, a 16-year-old Beaverton girl who was not identified, were treated for minor injuries at Gladwin Hospital and Released.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Gladwin State Police and and Beaverton and Gladwin City Police. The accident remains under investigation and officers say they do not know why Haines ran into the roadway.

It appears there are some errors here as to who's married or single. I think Maggie is married to Leighty, and Jackson should actually be shown as a grandson (therefore, a son of Leighty).

DOBap: There are two children baptised on July 16, 1826, whose parents are
listed as Peter and Susanna Lang. One has no name listed, but his date of
birth is exactly that of George Long: 14 Aug 1819. The other is Lidia Lang,
born 11 Sep 1821. Sponsors for both were the parents. "Churchbooks of the
Lutheran and German Reformed Congregations of the Glick/Salem (Union)/Brick

NAME/DOB/DOD/POBurial/spouse: "Cemeteries of Bloom Township, Fairfield County, OH", Fairfield Co., Ohio, Chapter OGS, 1996, p 206. Page 376 shows info that was on the actual tombstone, which was Lydia Faler, wife of David, died June 12, 1863, aged 41y 4m 1d. Date of birth figured at age of death works out to be 11 Feb 1822. There is a Lydia Long who was baptized in Bloom township and who's birth was recorded as 11 Sep 1821. If the "4m" was misread and is actually "9m", the calculated date of birth would be Sept. 11, 1821. I believe that this Lydia Long is the one recorded as the daughter of Peter and Susannah and will merge the two Lydia Long's as one entry.

Windsor Gazette, Windsor, IL 12/10/1896 P1, C3
Obit - Mrs. Cynthia Rice Barnhart, wife of Valentine Barnhart, died Saturday morning at the family residence northeast of Windsor. Funeral and burial services were held at Ash Grove church Sunday. Rev. H. N. Gowan, pastor of Bruce M.E. church, had charge of the services. Mrs. Barnhart had long been a sufferer from dropsy and kindred diseases and her death was not altogether unexpected. She was a true christian, a loving wife and mother and a good friend and neighbor. She was a native of Ohio but settled with her family in this country where she and her husband have since resided. Besides her companion of many years she leaves three grown and married sons, viz., Henry, John and Thomas.
