PARENTAGE UNCONFIRMED! This "Mary Foor" is listed with no parents, but marrying a Jonathon Alspach. Jonathon had a sister, Elizabeth, very near his age who married Georg Friedrich FOOR. Since siblings of one family often married siblings of another, I'm only ASSUMING at this time that this Mary FOOR may be a sibling to Georg Friedrich, and thus the dau/of Johannes Fuhr/Foor. They also had children baptised on the same day.

FOOR BOOK p 4 (See book for more info. Says "1. Eva Ann Foor (3-7-1862) her
son Simon Peter (Pete Andy) (6-24-1880) (3-9-1949) Eva Ann Foor married John
Mowery"... I have no idea if Simon Peter is an illegitimate child of Eva and
"Pete Andy" was the father, or if "Pete Andy" was the nickname of her child.
Since it goes on to say "Eva Ann Foor married John..." I'm guessing she wasn't married when Simon Peter was born.

William's wife Rachel died January 2, 1892, about a week after the birth of their son, Delno Stotler. Delno went to live with the David L. Smith family when he was 8 days old, presumably the day or soon after the death of his mother. William and Rachel's other two children, Mary and Charles, went to live with other families as well, though it is unknown if they did so immediately or after the death of William, who died a little over 10 months after his wife. Charles was shown as 'adopted' by a Jackson Stein family which the wife had no children. Mary

1967 - Car Plunges into Creek, Five Persish - Circleville, Ohio - A 36-year-old woman learning how to drive hit the accelerator instead of the brake at an intersection north of here Tuesday night, sending the car plummeting into a rain swollen creek. She and her four children drowned. Her husband, who was teaching her, survived. Vester Phillips, 31, of rural Ashville told authorities he jumpe from the car before it submerged completely in Big Walnut Creek, then tried to rescue his wife and children. But swift current force him to leave the water, he said. Sheriff's deputies recovered the bodies of Ruby Phillips, 36, and sons Gary, 7, and Donald, 3. Bodies of the other two youngsters, Diana 11 and Wendell, 9, could not be found in nearly five hours of searching by scuba divers. Additional divers resumed the search this morning. At one point during the search for bodies, a distraught Phillips, who suffered only minor physical injuries, tried to jump back into the water. He was restrained by sheriff's deputies and onlookers. A shaken Phillips told of climbing back to the road hysterically and trying to flag down four cars that passed. None stopped, he said. Finally, a farmer who lives nearby heard Phillips' shouts. He turned in the first report to authorities. [Athens Messenger, Athens, Ohio, May 17, 1967]
