[T127198] NAME: The first wife of Louis Orville Machlan, Jr., is shown as Nora Victoria Boyle. This information is on an old gedcom uploaded to ancestry.com that no longer has an 'author' visible. Their child, Louis Jr., supposedly married Beckie Jeanne Hanley/Handley Nov. 19, 1966 in Portland, OR, and she was the d/o Nathan Earl RAZEY and Ruth Mary HANLEY. Information unsourced and not reliable.

Info on "OneWorldTree" at ancestry.com shows that Louis first married Nora Victoria Boyle 23 Dec 1913 in Arlington, Dutchess Co., NY, and that Nora was born 27 Apr 1892 in Toronto, Canada, and died Dec. 1914 in Stoneham, Middlesex Co., Mass. He then supposedly married in 1915 Helen Jane Boyle who was born 26 Nov 1887 in Toronto and died Dec. 7, 1974 in Bermingham, Jefferson Co., AL. The info shows that with wife Nora he had one child, Louis Jr., and with Helen he had one child, Nora M. Machlan. Other wives were "Cecille" and "Florence Oberman". No further information at all on either.

[T63614] NAME/DOB/DOD/POBurial: "Cemeteries of Bloom Twp., Fairfield Co., OH", Fairfield County Gen. Soc., Chapter OGS, 1996, p 171. Next of kin listed is Frank Bowman, father. Full dates. Buried near parents.

NOTE: I believe this is really a daughter of Horton, and not Horton's father, Frank. Another child, Virigina, is shown as a child of Frank, but her death certificate shows she was the d/o Horton. My guess is that both Virginia and Thelma were buried in a plot owned by Frank.

I can't find/view the death certificate image except for one that says Thelma Ruth Bowman, Orange Twp., Delaware Co., Ohio, died Jan. 14, 1922. Written in cursive accross the remainder of the form is: Void, Stillbirth. See File 125-01 S. B. Vol 31. No other information shown.

DOD: In November 15, 1877 issue of the Lancaster Gazette it mentions the death of Samuel DUM of Amanda Township who died on November 8th, "Genealogical Abstracts from The Lancaster (Ohio) Gazette, V 2, 1874-1884, Fairfield County Gen., Society, March 1998, p 28.

Although this is AFTER Samuel's death, I thought it interesting enough to note it here... a "Emma, daughter of Salem PEARCE of Fairfield County, was granted a divorce from Saumel E. DUM of Amanda by the Common Please Court of Marysville, Ohio. They had been secretly married 4 years ago but did not live together" -- this was in the March 7, 1878 issue of the Lancaster Gazette, "Genealogical Abstracts from The Lancaster (Ohio) Gazette, V 2, 1874-1884, Fairfield County Gen., Society, March 1998, p 32. Perhaps this Samuel E. DUM is a relation?

PA born April 30, 1821, no baptismal date, but the sponsors are Thomas Zwoyer and Juliana. Also a baptismal record at the same church (which is a Catholic church) for Israel Tum born Nov. 3, 1827, baptized Jan 13, 1828 son of Jacob and Juliana (Zwoyer) Dumm, baptismal sponsors are Daniel Seifert and Magdalene Meyer" Email from Christine Schultz, Gilbertsville, PA, Nov 1999.

NAME: Mother Julia's 1870 partition records lists this person as a child and heir.

NAME: Mentioned in father's 1865 partition records as child and heir. "Partition Record Abstracts, V2, 1851-1900 Fairfield County, Ohio", Fairfield County Chapter OGS, 1988, p 28.

NOTE: This second marriage for Pearl Babcock is not documented. Her first husband, Ray Foor, is married to someone else in 1930 so I went looking for Pearl and her daughter, Gladys. This appears to be them in the 1930 census, and they possibly may even reside in the same house that she and Ray Foor did, as they're both on Providence street in Whitehouse (no house numbers shown on census). Since in 1920 Ray was working at a restaurant, and in 1930 Pearl's new husband Lawrence Garber was a proprietor for a restaurant, it appears that he took over Ray's position and the restaurant and possibly their living quarters were in the same building.
