"Daniel Glick - For more than a quarter of a century Daniel Glick has resided
in appanoose county and his home is now located in Douglass twownship, where
he has a good farm. He was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, on the 21st of
August, 1843, and is a son of Isaac Glick, whose birth occurred in
Pennsylvania. The grandfather, Daniel Glick, was of Pennsylvania Dutch
parentage, coming of a family noted for reliability in business and honor in
all life's relations. He served his country as a soldier in the war of 1812.
Isaac Glick, after arriving at years of maturity, was united in marriage to
Luvina Boyer, who was born in the Keystone state of Pennsylvania parentage.
Three children graced his marriage; John W., who is now deceased; Daniel; and
Louis, who was a soldier of the 120th Indiana Inf.. during the Civil war and
is now living in Missouri. The mother died in Indiana when her son Daniel
was but six years of age, and later the father married again and had three
children by that union: Isaac M., Malissa and Emma. Mr. Glick passed passed

OBIT: Aged Citizen Responds to Final Summons and Passes to His Long Home, Funeral Friday. The venerable George Hunter, aged 82 years, died Wednesday morning at 5 o'clock at his home in Winchester, from a gangreenous attack after eleven weeks' affliction. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. Two brothers, William J. Hunter, residing just east of the city, and Milton Hunter, of Illinois, and four half brothers also survive. Mr. Hunter was the eldest son of the old Hunter family that settled in Hocking township near Lancaster in 1799 and was born and reared at the old home. The funeral will be conducted on Friday afternoon at 1:30 from his late home and burial will take place at the Lithopolis cemetery. [Daily Eagle, Lancaster, Ohio, Sept. 30, 1915]
