Copeland on a non-support charge, authorities said. Foor was taken into custody by Jamesville, NY police for Auglaize authorities. The charge was filed by his former wife, who was awarded custody of three minor children. The former wife resides in Waynesfield. Foor probably will be arraigned at the same time that Frank Hartridge, who was brought here from Portland, Ore., on a robbery charge in connection with the $20000 'horse-deal poker' robbery of Albert Gerstner, Union twp. farmer, will face Judge Copeland. [Lima News, Lima, Ohio, June 6, 1940]

Expressing a desire to be reunited with his former wife and three minor children but admitting failure to provide for them during the past 8 years, Ralph Foor, 42, pleaded guilty to a non-support charge and was sentenced to a term of one to three years in the Ohio penitentiary when arraigned late Thursday before Judge W. T. Copland in Auglaize co., common pleas court. Foor, a former resident of St. Marys and Waynesfield, was apprehended a week ago by Jamesvile, NY police on a transient charge under an assumed name. He was identified thru fingerprint records on file with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and held for local authorities. He was secretely indicted by a grand jury here a year ago. Records in the office of Sheriff William Nieter show that Foor was indicted here on a similar charge in 1932 and that he was sentenced to a one to three yar term at that time, but was paroled after serving several months. He was returned for parole violation in 1934 and completed the remainder of his sentence. Local court attaches said that a new ruling of the state parole board will make it mandatory for him to serve the maximum sentence pronounced Thursday. [Lima News, Lima, Ohio, June 7, 1940, p 2.]
