OBIT: LANCASTER DAILY GAZETTE, Lancaster, Ohio, March 27, 1929. Leroy Bennett, Bloom Township; Druggist Dies. Leroy Bennett, 76, life long resident of LIthopolis, died at his home there at 12:00 o'clock Tuesday following a brief illness. Cause of death was an internal hemorrage. Mr. Bennett has owned and managed a drug store in the village for the past 52 years. Besides the widow, Mrs. Della Bennett, he is survived by two nephews, Leroy and Herbert Bennett of Warsaw, Ind. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock followed by burial in the Lithopolis cemetery under the direction of Weiser and Kistler, Lithopolis morticians. The family asks that flowers be omitted.

OBIT: Dr. Kerschner Dies Thursday - Native of near East Ringgold Succumbs in in Lithopolis after long illness - Dr. J. A. Kerschner, 59, of Lithopolis, died Thursday at his home following an illness of two years during which he suffered several strokes. The only immediate survivor is a sister, Mrs. Mary Adams of Lyons, Kansas, who arrived three hours after he had died. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the home with Rev. Bailey of Lithopolis and Rev. Woltz of Reynoldsburg officiating. Interment will be in Lithopolis Mausoleum. The deceased was a native of this county being born near East Ringgold. He graduated from Ohio Medical school in 1905 and began to practice in Ashville. He moved to Lithopolis two years later and remained in the Fairfield co. village the remainder of his life. He never married.
Dr. Kerschner was a great reader of books and a student of Shakespeare. He was also a great lover of the outdoors and before his fatal illness boast a magnificient physique. He was 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighed 225 pounds. [Circleville Herald, Circleville, Ohio, Feb. 4, 1932]

Friends may call from 7:00-8:30pm Monday evening at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main St at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville and on Tuesday morning from 10:00-10:30 am at the Church. Michael Raushi, 74, of Phoenixville, a retired electrician, died Aug. 17 at Phoenixville Hospital.
Born in Lansdowne, Mr. Raushi attended the former Clifton Heights High School. He was a resident of the Phoenixville area for the last 20 years.
Mr. Raushi was employed by several electrical contractors for many years, last working for Donald Pusey Electrical Contractors of Media before his retirement in 1999.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the South Pacific. Mr. Raushi was a member of Grace Assembly of God Church, Spring City.
He was the father of the late Carol Marie Dolatow and Michael Raushi, the son ofthe late Michael B. and Evelyn Greenfield Raushi, and the brother of the late Robert E. Raushi and Joanne Mohler.
Survivors: Wife, Alice M. Foor Raushi; daughters, Jacqui Gregg of Downingtown, Michele Pinder of Gilbertsville, Jean Raushi of Bucks County, Carla Cruise of Spring City; sisters, Eleanor Smith of Aston, Jean Billitto of Jeffersonville, Faye Thompson of Claymont, Del.; brothers, George Raushi of Reading, William Raushi of Pinconning, Mich., Richard Raushi of Lansdowne, John Raushi of Tucson, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

NEW LEXINGTON - Charles J. "Chuck" Woltz, 68, of New Lexington, died at 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2005, at his home.
He was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Roy and Elmyra Krik Woltz. Mr. Woltz was a lifetime resident of the area; retired maintenance supervisor for New Lexington City Schools and also a carpenter. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, New Lexington, and a United States Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Wilma J. Foor Woltz of the home; two sons, Chris (Michelle) Woltz of New Lexington and Craig (Melissa) Woltz of Oxford, Ala.; five grandchildren, Ciara, Derek, Kristin, Carsyn and Connor; a sister-in-law, Judi Henninger of Logan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother, Ronald Woltz.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2005, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 304 Mill St., New Lexington, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church on Tuesday.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church, 126 S. High St., New Lexington, with the Rev. Joel Harbarger officiating.
Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio, with graveside services by John Tague Post 188, American Legion, New Lexington.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church; FairHope Hospice of Logan; or Fairview Assisted Living (Perry Co. Home).
