This photo was sent to me by Jeffrey Dean Foor who says he believes this to be a photo of Francis Leonard FOOR who died at Andersonville, GA. Francis was born in 1842, was a private in Co. D of the 101st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment. According to historians, he was captured at the battle of Plymouth, North Carolina on April 20, 1864, and was said to have died in prison at Andersonville near Americus, GA. Some speculate he's buried in a national cemetery at Andersonville or Florence in an unmarked grave.

Francis was the son of David and Harriet (KATES) FOOR of Bedford Co., PA.
